Recommended Writing Books

Hello Dear Writers,

As per request from the attendees of my most recent workshop, here is a selection of some of my favorite books on writing. If you have some favorites you think I should add to the list, please send me an email!

Best,

Albert

For Poetry:

“The Handbook of Poetic Forms” by Ron Padgett
“Sleeping On the Wing” by Kenneth Koch & Kate Farrell

“Old Faithful: 18 Writers Present Their Favorite Writing Assignments” (Geared toward teaching kids, but great for adults new to writing–there is so much we can learn from children’s writing!!)

2. “The Writer’s Journey” by Christopher Vogler
3. “Your Life as Story” by Tristine Rainer
