In this retreat I found what I was looking for. I now understand more of how I am a creative genius not only in words, but in spirit as well.

Like yoga, the practice of writing can be an exploration of consciousness and a tool for deeper self-awareness—and can move us along the path of awakening to our true nature. Many of our greatest spiritual teachers from around the world have also been writers. From Sappho in the 7th century BC, to Rumi in the 13th century, to Thomas Merton, Natalie Goldberg, and the Dalai Lama today—the written word has the power to inspire and awaken the very best in the human heart.

Join us for this extraordinary pre-conference workshop where you will re-connect with your authentic voice, awaken your creativity energy, and express the deep truth of who you really are–through a powerful combination of. . .

  • Dynamic Yoga & Meditation Practices
  • Innovative Creative Writing Exercises and Sessions
  • Rich Discussion, Q&A, Readings and Optional Sharing
  • Writing Time and Community Connection!

Great writing can emerge from an open heart, a clear-seeing mind, and a fully inhabited body. The complementary practices of writing, yoga asana, and meditation can enhance creativity and awakening, strengthen relationship, relieve stress, open us to emotional and spiritual insights, and create a sense of confidence and connection.

Each day will include: * Mindful yoga explorations with an emphasis on increasing sensitivity, developing inner listening and intuition, and awakening the body’s centers and pathways of creative energy. * Guided meditations to inspire your imagination and connect you with your heart and your true nature. * Innovative writing prompts and exercises that awaken and help you express the inner river of imagery and story. Whether you are a new writer just beginning to journal or an advanced writer seeking to complete a book project, this workshop will help re-align and reconnect you to your innate creative and spiritual brilliance.
